HELLAS HOUSE, THE NEW LANDMARK OF HELLAS GROUP IN SHANGHAI

The Hellas House vision was ultimately completed in May 2018 after five years of detailed planning and structural renovations.  The remarkable Greek Culture & Lifestyle Centre resides in a completely refurbished Shanghainese villa, built in 1936, renovated and designed by the owners in association with noted architect Kostas Chatzigiannis. The heritage mansion combines Shanghainese and Old Europe influeces with distinctive design by Ancient Greece and monumental Greek art.

Hellas Group successfully participated in the ”Belt & Road” Expo held in Shanghai Exhibition Centre

The “Belt and Road” Initiative has received positive response and support from over 100 countries and international organizations since its first launch in 2013. From the 8th to 10th December 2017 The Belt and Road Expo was held in the Shanghai Exhibition Center, with over 26 countries participating and being endorsed by Shanghai Municipal Government Authorities. All parties were committed to establish an ideal platform for information exchange as well as business and trade cooperation.

Greece is the cradle of European civilization and a member of One Belt and Road. As one of the participators, Hellas Group brought Greek Hospitality and Gastronomy to the Chinese guests aiming to spread, preserve and encourage the integration of the Greek Culture in all its dimensions into the global landscape.
At the HG booth, Expo visitors had the chance to experience the Greek olive oil, the awarded Greek wines, Greek honey, wafer rolls and candy, as well as taste some famous Greek dishes like the Greek salad and Moussaka prepared by a Greek chef. Furthermore it was possible to experience the Greek culture and get information for tailor made tours in Greece.

Hellas Group aims to bring the best of Greece to the rest of the world, be it in culinary delight, cultural awareness or luxurious traveling in the country where culture, hospitality and healthy life come together.

ELAION aims to acquaint people worldwide with authentic Greek products of supreme alimentary value.

ΜΕΛΙΟΝ is the new endeavour to offer varieties of finest Hellenic honey.
The ΜΕΛΙΟΝ Finest series is honey from selected large-scale local producers who provide us with large quantities of their many different honey varieties throughout the year, adhering always to strict quality control guidelines.

There are floral varieties of ΜΕΛΙΟΝ honey that come from plants such as heather, thyme, eucalyptus, pine, strawberry tree, sage plant, orange blossom.

The MELION Supreme series is 100% raw, seasonal honey from small – scale Greek producers.
MELION Supreme Honeys are rare varieties, produced only during the months of blossoming, and are 100% our own in house produce. We control the whole production/harvesting procedure and have generally limited quantities in numbered jars.
When quantities are very limited are packaged in 275gr. jars, mostly for gifts, whereas when larger quantities are available are offered in 400gr. jars.
This season’s varieties are Ivy and Strawberry Tree, Black Pine and Sour Cherry.

ELAION was very privileged to host the Swiss Chef star Irma Dütsch, together with husband Jurg, in Athens

Irma, the first Michelinstar awarded woman, is considered the Doyenne of the Swiss Culinary establishment. She has won countless awards from international institutions – Alpes Latines, Strasbourg Parliament, the Tour du Monde en 80 Toques, Clef d’or, Gault-Millau, Michelin – as well as the Swiss title ‘Chef of the Year’ in 1994.

My Odyssey in collaboration with the China Photographers Association organises the photography exhibition ‘’ MODERN CHINESE WOMEN’’ 13/01/2017- 20/01/2017

38 female portraits by contemporary Chinese photographers are exhibited in Greece for the first time.

The exhibition includes 38 colour female portraits by members of the oldest and largest national association of professional Chinese photographers. Apart from promoting artistic values and beauty, the exhibition’s main goal is to introduce visitors to present-day China. In each of the exhibited photographs we can see their creators’ interest in highlighting the relationship between tradition and the past on the one hand, and contemporary life on the other. Through these images, women —young or old, farmers, artists or scientists— become ambassadresses of Chinese culture to the West.

Part of an initiative that seeks to facilitate cultural exchange and build bridges between Greece and China, the exhibition “Modern Chinese Women” is the first in a series of cultural events aiming to foster and promote mutual exposure and understanding between the two countries. The exhibition is taking place on the first floor of an iconic 19th-century Athenian building on Agias Eirinis Square, designed by the famous architect and Grecophile, Ernst Ziller

On the opening night a formal delegation from China will be present, including Mr Li Ge, vice-president of the China Photographers Association and editor in chief of the photography section of People’s Daily newspaper, and Mr Jin Yongquan, editor in chief of Chinese Photography magazine.

The event will take place at Ziller Art Space, 1 Vasilikis str. in the city centre and is organised under the auspices of the City of Athens.
